The Scottish Borders is criss crossed with quiet country roads which are perfect for road riding, with a few good challenging hills like the 20% climb at Talla Linnfoots and the mini alpine-esque ascent of Witchyknowe to test your climbing legs! You can ride for hours and barely see a car. Peebles is also home to 2 of the UK's top sportives - The Tour of the Borders and the Tour of Tweeddale.
